Hey mpt,
I think the target is far enough but I wouldnt like to remove it from
the default install until upstreams adopt the new spec fully. Which will
take a long enough time. I think remove it cold turkey from the next LTS
release just to give it fair warning to universe app
developers/maintaine
Whoops I thought it was just the startup and shutdown sounds from the
forums post. Nice set some sound a lot like Kubuntu and some sound a
little Vista like but I like them. Nice work.

Hey,
Thanks for the effort on this. The sounds on that thread sound a lot
like the Kubuntu sounds when KDE 4 was first introduced. I like the
sounds though.
Id like if the sounds were a little more complete so a sound for new
IMs, for errors(maybe) and window and button sounds (if anyone actually
ication indicators too and it seems that the Shell guys
want to do something cool here but it may not be within the spec of the
app indicators so maybe it will have to be tweeked for the Gnome 3.0
release of Ubuntu.

I think they want to get away from the "old" model but they havent
thought of anything concrete to replace it yet.

Maybe it wouldnt be so bad to having a high level list with more focused
views. So +1 on my end as long as we can still see it publicly and are
still free to comment on it here in the public list.
