My 2 cents also about global menu, as just a normal and daily user (both
personal and professional use of Ubuntu), not a developer nor a
designer. I like it very much as it is right now, because :
- It allows space saving and is very nice
- For me it is not a problem that window title

That means that it could remember the last setting and adjust to the user's
preferences, without needing a setting anywhere.

Interesting point. With some tools like Ubuntu Tweak we can change between
our complete name, user name or nothing.
I think that it's very interesting point for discussion.
