I like the idea of buffering (at least to a point) so the user can
catch up later.
I think the biggest problem to solve for "Silent Mode setup dialog" is
how to populate it. Seems notifications can come and go based on users
installing and uninstalling applications. Also I *really* use the

yeah, for example

For ease of use (Fitt's Law) and semantic consistency, i would only suggest
to keep shape, position and size of the Ubuntu button on the top left corner
of the screen the same on all pages featuring it.
Thx for the great work! I like the way the colors are, only thing i noticed
was the green color
I think everyone is going to have a personally preferred position, but
maintaining a default association with the 'me menu' is probably a good
thing. However, as Dani notes, this can get in the way - especially
considering that many apps, especially on the graphics sides of things,
have their toolb

I've suggested before that synchronous notifications (e.g. volume)
should appear horiz
I think somewhere in the NotifyOSD guidelines (can't find now), there
was the idea that moving a bubble (and therefore the entire text it
contains) is annoying for the user, so your mockup is not taking into
account the case where a notification grows, because this would
involve moving the bubble
I'm thinking they should stay where they are BECAUSE there are other things
like (w)indicators there. That way the users knows the upper right corner of
the screen is for notifications of any kind.

I forgot to include a link with a small mockup. as usual, a picture is
worth a thousand words. :)

Hi, I wanted to talk about the new unity interface and OSD
notifications.
Until now the upper right side was chosen for the notifications because
it was the least intrusive to the user and the window app. but now there
are many more indicators and possible windicators in the future.
therefore it
The same title bar that formerly used double click to toggle maximize? Do
away with it if you like, but IMHO changing the semantics that have been in
use for 20+ years, especially to something as final as close, is just asking
for trouble.
