I am a little concerned about the position indicator in Maverick's sound
indicator at the moment. The part that bothers me is it produces a lot
of noise to communicate something that really doesn't strike me as very
important.

Thanks for the pointer to the sound theme, here are some comments:
In general, I think we want something "lighter", more ethereal. Quite a
number of the instruments seemed to be full-bodied, more like piano's
than harpsichords, if you know what I mean.
