We're very interested in morphing windows, so thank you for exploring the idea! In general, morphing windows should let us deliver "simpler, clearer" user experiences, because people are confronted with just the specific information they need at any given time, and don't get lots of popup windows

I think this is referring to apport, not notify-osd. Notifications are always temporary, I think the reporter is referring to a dialog that is displayed by apport when a crash is detected on the system. If that's the case, then the title of the bug should be amended to something like "apport dial
