Does anyone know of a system for which `head -n1' doesn't work
the same as the traditional `head -1'?
The latter doesn't conform to POSIX 1003.1-2001.
Without this patch, dependencies don't work when
using `head' from the next test release of the GNU textutils
and with the `conform-to-latest-POS

Thanks! You're right. I've just confirmed that on a
SunOS4.1.4 system its /usr/ucb/head.
Here's a better patch:
* m4/depout.m4: Don't use `head -1'; it's no longer portable.
Use `sed 1q' instead.
