make 1.4 puts that line in the Makefile rather than including the

No - I used $(top_srcdir), as in the documentation.
Switching automake-cvs make it work.

ut since it works in cvs there doesn't seem much point.
So what is it that is holding back a release of automake 1.5? Are
people in the middle of some major-write? Are there major bugs
in the cvs version that are not in 1.4?
