Is renaming /usr/local/bin/m4 as /usr/local/bin/gm4 another option?

(I think it is - haven't checked though, which means
configure --program-prefix=g
in m4 does it all
First, I want to thank all of those who responded to my question
yesterday regarding m4 and autoconf.
I have now been able to successfuly configure autoconf. Unfortunately,
I am still not able to compile it using make. Here is the output. If
anyone is able to help, it would be much appreciated!
