Hi all,
I'm in the process of installing all teh auto-tools on my machines
and while installing on Sparc/Solaris-2.5 I get two failed tests:
One is the autoupdate test that failed on ix86/Solaris-7 due to
deficiencies in Sun's sed; I'll install gnu sed here also :-)

Hi Pavel, thanks for the bug report, and the fix (which is perfectly
right).
| This patch works for me, i.e. autoupdate works and the testsuite still
| passes. And even configure still works with old macros.

AC_HEADER_TIOCGWINSZ.
It appears that the problem can be reproduced on GNU/Linux (and perhaps
all other OS'es) but the testsuite fails to detect it.
