I have recently integrated with a switch using chan_ss7 0.90. Calls
were passing thru from IAX to ss7 and voice quality is excellent. I
haven't done calls from ss7 to IAX since they have to change something
at the switch (routing). I have a few observations though.

Maybe you could set different linksets for the 2 links and address
them accordingly when dialling.

That has happened to me also. Reply from engineer is that the switch
has to have a value in callerid.

Your telco may not allow calls with no callerid - ask them

I have an asterisk box connected for sometime now to an ss7 network.
One of the issues I have sometimes is echo. Is there a way to enable
echocancellation in chan_ss7? I'm using chan_ss7 0.90 and asterisk

We got a hold of a Performance Technologies PCI384 SS7 card. We were
thinking of making it run on an asterisk setup. Is this possible?

Sometimes there are errors in transmission that resulted in the telco
side blocking the connections. Some telcos do not have automatic
removal of blockage hence you have to tell them to unblock it.

If you do a zrcfg -v, you would have errors in channels after 48
since T1 only supports 24 channels per port.
