i had the same problem with C-Media usb dac's. so i switched to StarTech

Also the same Pi+charger+USB DAC works with linux. For this reason I thought it
could be either the HW not suppor

And I only hear hum when recording now that I think of it. arecord -l
on a Pi 3B gives an empty list. But it's plughw:2,0,0 under Alsa (on
the Pinebook)

I am a bit confused indeed, according to dmesg uhub0 is usb3 and uhub1 is usb2,
however if I attach the dongle to any of the four usb ports, I always
