I've just had quite a struggle to package a medium sized database into
my application in a way that will populate that database on the phone
very quickly when the app first loads. But I'm victorious. I have read
several posts from the past about people having the same problems, but
they fail

You sure could. But what good would it be? Do you think everyone loves
the same 4 RSS feeds that you love? An RSS reader that is customizable
makes a LOT more sense. Also, if you don't know how hard it would be,
this is not the place to get started.
You should start by going to android.com
I have connected a G1 to my development laptop and used eclipse just as
I would when using the emulator to automatically deploy apk's and run
and test them, and have the logcat readout looks just as per with the
emulator.
There is at least one difference which I noticed. You do NOT have root

You can get a lot of information at developer.android.com or purchase a

The only people who would take your formal request for greater
Accesibility Features would be T-Mobile and HTC (the phone
manufacturer). Call them and ask how to make a formal complaint and/or
give feedback.

The emulator doesn't simulate any specific phone. Just a generic one.
Your application *should* run the same on an HTC magic as on a TMobile
G1 because the hardware is very similar. The whole intention of Android
is to separate the application layer sufficiently from the hardware so

only). My raw file must have been too large (1.5 meg), because I got
this error:
D/asset (909): Data exceeds UNCOMPRESS_DATA_MAX (1424000 vs 1048576)
I've searched for this error with very few relevant hits. It seemed to
