When attemptin to load snd-emu10k (alsa 1.0.16, kernel 2.6.26-2-686)
i got following error message
# modprobe snd-ymfpci

i not tested.
- Alsamixer does not show any controls. There is however knobs to adjust
input gain and output level so there is no need for mixer controls
anyway.

On some mixers if only left channel is plugged signal will be fed to both
channels. Try to plub something to input 2 too and listen if input 1 is
still fed to both channels.
