I have installed the latest CVS version of the ALSA drivers (and
libraries, etc) on my LinuxPPC system (1999 Powerbook G3) running kernel
v2.4.19pre7 (v2.4.18 has same effect). I have got everything to compile,
and the modules load and operate without errors, but I get no sound. I

I am trying to get the powermac sound driver working using the latest
0.9 CVS code, but can get nothing but silence.
If I run amixer to get a status on the mixer's sliders, I get this for
CD, Line, Mic and Mic Boost:

When trying to build the alsa-driver RPM from CVS (under LinuxPPC
v2.4.19pre7) the compile bombs out like so:
