Successfully (at least without errors) installed the ALSA driver, libs and utils for the
Intel8x0 to support an AD1980 (AC97) on an Asus P4PE motherboard. Running RedHat 7.3
with all updates.
Although modules install (listed below), there is no sound. I've used alsamixer and
amixer to unmute out

While a file is playing, the device shows "state: DRAINING". Of course, when not
playing it shows closed.
