I've been trying to configure my Shuttle XS35GT (ION2 HDMI) with ALSA
(without pulse as I want pass-through) for the past 2 days. I'm using
Ubuntu 10.10 and have now compiled nvidia drivers and alsa from source
code on kernel 2.6.35-24-generic.

I'm trying to get HDMI audio on a Geforce GTS 450 to work on Centos
5.5. I have the latest NVidia binary drivers and ALSA 1.0.23.
Uner Windows 7, it just works as the default sound device after
installing NVidia drivers, so I know the card can do it. With ALSA I
