I am also trying to get my X-Station working. I'm running Hardy Heron
/ UbuntuStudio with their "low latency" kernel: 2.6.24-15. I haven't
tried getting it to work yet as I'm still searching for a suitable USB
cable, but I'll keep you posted with my progress. Perhaps we can all
help each other.

I have a fresh installation of debian testing (lenny) on a Sony Viao
VGN-FZ31Z.
Alsa has installed correctly but has left me with two problems.
1) The laptop speakers work fine but when i plug headphones into the
laptop sound continues to come from the onboard speakers and not the
headphones.
That would be great! If you end up with everything working, I could
just copy your setup...!
The X-Station is a fantastic piece of equipment owned by many people.
The sooner this is working, the sooner those people might consider
using Linux :)

Okay, I'll answer my question myself - it works, although not
perfectly - like controls on the device itself don't function, only
three controls in alsamixer and so on.
Is there any way I can help the devs to support this card more completely?
