When booting the computer , sometimes the sound works and sometimes not.
I run FC8 on a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo 1425 Laptop.
I ran Ububtu and sounds works with no problem. Also under Windows works
sound fine.
I looked up some pages I found through Google but none of them helped to
fix it.

Is there anyone on-list that can explain what the audigy4 non-pro
actually can and cannot do? I've heard a lot of vauge and conflicting

the difference) that all audio is resampled to 48kHz when output.

I'm trying to get a handle on ALSA and Linux audio processing --- much
complexity (ALSA, OSS, JACK, etc.); need a guide to help sort it out... Any
(O'Reilly-style) book now in publication that would help guide the learning
curve?
