I bought a second sound card these days to play with some more
speakers, but I've got (most probably) mixer problems with it.
The card is branded "Terratec Aureon 5.1 PCI", lspci identifies it as

I'm having success with EMU-1212m v1 card and ADAT
Alesis AI3 using the mecurial drivers on my machine.
I'm using Gentoo (2.6.22-gentoo-r2). I dont use the
Gentoo ALSA drivers, but install them as modules,
after rebuilding the kernel. I specify ALSA in make
menuconfig, as well as the different stuf

This is different for every chipset (and, with AC'97 and HDA
controllers, for every mainboard).
