Mostly live mixer under ALSA uses AC97 codec to volume control and

Has anyone got a Creative Labs Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro running under any Linux
distro, including the external box with the input connectors?
So far I have the main card working, i.e. I can play audio, but I can't record
anything, or use any of the functions of the external box. I found somethin
Have you checked that the power cable of your soundcard is connected? Also
make sure that the input ports are not muted.
I'm using Audigy 2 zx platinum pro under SuSE 9 and it's working almost
well enough. The external box seems to be working somehow.. the line in
connectors work great, but I s

Hi!
I have tried several games, but never hear any sound. This makes it a
bit hard to play some games.
I use kernel 2.6.5 with soundcore built as a module. I have compiled and
installed alsa version 1.0.4. Playing movies and music works perfectly
fine, but the games dont give any sound.

I forgot, when I start "Enemy Territory" I get this message:

I am running Debian 3.0r2 with a 2.6.5. kernel, and I complied alsa support
into the kernel. I am using an Aureal Vortex 8810 sound card. I used dselect
to install alsa-utils and alsa-base, but I am unable to get alba-base to
install - dselect installation fails with this error message:

I have a PCI Hammerfall HD9632 which works fine under Windows XP. I'm
trying not to run Windows XP any more :) I'm having a few problems
getting this up and running under SuSE 9.0. I do also have a
Soundblaster Live in the same PC.
I've compiled and installed version 1.04 of ALSA
I dont know this for sure but I know I had Massive Sound Gaming Problems
with my Nvidia Card. However once I upgraded my Drivers for the card my
sound and graphics where smooth... So maybe you should check into your GFX
driver... Like I said I dont know for sure but its worth a try

Recheck your cables from the cdrom to the audigy board. You should have
one going from the back of the cdrom drive to the audigy card. Had the
same problem. Could play wavs, and the cdrom worked when playing a cd,but
no music. Turns out I had the cable going from the cdrom to the
motherboards au
