I don't have any of those files. I have a asound.state, but I guess it
has nothing to do with it.

releasing the source for their dspfactory drivers, I also noticed on the
dspfactory list that the quality of the windows drivers isn't so great.

I have an Abit IS7 motherboard, which has the Intel 865PE / ICH5-R chipset
with the ALC650 CODEC onboard. I'm running Mandrake 9.1 with the
2.4.21-0.25mdk kernel. And I've downloaded and successfully installed ALSA
0.9.7a drivers, and 0.9.7 lib, oss, tools, utils.
