Did you try to play with the JACK Patch Ba
Hmm, I was opting for the Audigy Platinum Ex. I need those
digital connectors. I'll have to wait a bit longer then...:-(
Are there any cards which resemble the Audigy Platinum Ex (in both
performance and features) which are fully supported?

I am just windering if anyone has an idea what I could try next. When in
win98, i get sound, and when I look at the device driver info it shows:
io range=0534-0537
irq=10
dma=1
When I try to load the alsa module with this command, here's what it says:
modprobe snd-cs4231 port=0x534 irq=10 dma1
I have finally got my system to produce some sound after installing
alsa0.9.5. So far the only thing I've been able to hear is the
pass-through of audio from the line in. I really need to be able to hear
captured audio. So, as I've read on the lists, I've used alsamixer to
mute the pass-throu
I am also having troubles with 0.9.5.
I was able to arecord/aplay my vxpocket using ALSA 0.9.4.
vxloader was run manually and worked ok.
After switching to 0.9.5, I am unable to get vxloader to
locate a "VX-Compatible" card ... ?

Has anybody managed to get an FM device to work with the ALSA cmipci driver? I
have a CMI8738 card and have tried endless permutations of kernel version,
alsa version, config options and MIDI players and nothing seems to work. Or,
at least, everything works, but there's never any sound produced.
Here's the rundown of my system. Running as root I got excellent
performance with no xruns all day.
M-Audio Delta 1010-LT
Linux-2.4.21 with low-latency and preemptive patches applied
Gentoo 1.4_r2 compiled for AMD athlon
KDE 3.1, no arts
