Hi,
I encounter a little problem when i try to make the alsa drivers. Configure causes me
no problems, but when i launch "make", i have the following error:
In file included from ../include/drivers.h:66,

Hi all,
I'm obviously missing something here. I recently downloaded and compiled
kernel 2.4.18, adding the preemptive patch, and am having trouble compiling
alsa 0.9.0b12 for the new kernel. I had absolutely no trouble with the
previous kernel (Redhat's 2.4.9-7). I assume I missed an optio
You have to install kernel-source from CD2 in section
development system.
Dont use any prefix.
and if you use alsa-drive-0.9.beta10 or newer, will run without
problems.
if not or alsa-drive doesnt find kernel sources, you have to
make one link in /usr/src/ ln -s linux-2.x.xx linux

aplay -Dhw:0,2 foo.wav
and the rear speakers have worked.
I have read that the SBLive! use the four speakers even through the OSS

Greg,
I too have had trouble with the Intel 8x0 driver. I have two suggestions.
First, the volume for the sound output is actually "headphone", not
master. I've had good luck with both "master" and "headphone" enabled.
I experienced another issue where the driver would not load up if there
