i forgot to mention the debian(unstable) package alsa-drivers is beta10 and yesterday i did an upgrade and i think its beta11 now. i would prefer the debian package version if possible. the alsa page is in fact kind of cryptic there. hardly a mention of kernel above 2.2 just the piece about mergi
