I did more testing tonight. Skype raises the Mic Boost and then the sound becomes unbearably shushy. Is there a way to force Mic Boost to be zero, posssibly as root, so that a sound application can not change it? Cheers, Thomas Krichelhttp://openlib.org/home/kric
