Ok, so 2.4.20 doesnt compile with gcc 3.3 or something, and thats whats in debian sarge right now. So i needed to use a newer kernel, so 2.4.21-rc it is I previously had alsa 0.9.0 rc 4, then rc 7 installed on 2.4.20. I got my shiny new kernel working and installed the 0.9.4 drivers (as modul
