Hello again, I solved one of my problems. sound from xine is fine now, even using upmix. I found this little patch on the xine mailing list (for xine-lib-1.1.7), but I had to apply it manually (this here is a fixed version, which applies fine), but the dmix--->a52 problem is still there. diff
