I have used the UM-ONE on 10.04 with the TAB-COMP switch in TAB position.
Works with Jack, virtual keyboard, Nted, others.

Ok I've compiled on Ubuntu 10.04 64bits for test (faster computer), the
file where the lines have to be wrote is in the same location, but called
"usbquirks.h" : it's working fine !!
Now, I'll try on the other computer with Ubuntu 11.04 32bits, with the
file you have given ;)

Humm, I'm not friendly with compiling a kernel... let's try...
No other way to make that UM-ONE working ? :p

driver needs to be changed.

Jackd is sound server, working with pulseaudio.
I've bought a Roland UM-ONE or UM-1 to connect MIDI keyboard to USB on
computer.
Nothing listed in the alsa midi, and nothing in jack input.
