Thank you, I didn't know about this.
Has remote and LIRC support. It should be trivial to port this to
ALSA.

Clemens

Greetings List,
Firstly I would like to say thanks to the people behind the ALSA project.
For months I have been fighting with hacked OSS USB-Audio drivers under a
2.4.X kernel trying to get my Extigy to work.
I managed to get my Extigy to work this morning using the ALSA USB-Audio
driver this mo

It seems the Extigy's mixer controls aren't really conforming to the

It seems the Extigy's mixer controls aren't really conforming to the
USB Audio Specificat

Ooooh, I see! I thought it was one of those Enable Here To Get It There
things...
Yeah, now I get full OSS Mixer control.
However, volume is INCREDILBY lo

Hey all,
I just got an SB Extigy, and am trying to get it to work with the ALSA
that comes with the 2.6.0-test4 kernel.
I've got USB Audio support and have enabled the ALSA USB driver - all
compiled in, not modules.
Sound DOES come out of the thing, but thre's no volume control - OSS
mixers only
Does anybody know if the new Creative Extigy can work with Linux and/or ALSA? If you don't know, it is an external audio device that hooks up to your computer through the USB port. Supposedly it has an Audigy chip in it which I see is supported under ALSA now, be it only beta.
