Thanks for the help Dmitri. Unfortunately, I had some other
stuff latch up the system, and had to re-install the OS.
Whatever the problem was, it's working ok now. I hate it
when that happens. It's kinda like the problems that
disapear when you take your car to the mechanic.

I'm running Kubuntu 12.04, and just installed a new 64 bit
mother board, along with the 64 bit version of 12.04. I'm
currently using the on-board sound setup.
