Sorry if this is sent twice, I was moderated the first time.
I am using a CMedia CMI8738 card. I *finally* got the MIC to work thanks
to the ALSA driver cmipci. This took me several days to figure out,
however I am very happy that it works now.
The only problem I found is that that particula
