Hi there Loren,
I was wondering if you are able to record with your extigy? I can't seem to
choose a device to record from from the mixer.
I also can't play multiple sound files at the same time.
If you can record from your extigy please let me know... Thanx!

stalled hotplug and then it started working (I don't know
which of those fixed it)
If anybody has been able to run concurrent sound
applications and set the recording device with an extigy any advice would be
appreciated
Thanx!

My kernel has ALSA 0.9.4. I have compiled the libs, utils and tools
from cvs HEAD, today (alsa 0.9.4 code).
I get only vaguely audible sound using aplay or a program sending output
to the OSS emulation.
Simple mixer control 'Master',0
Capabilities: pvolume pswitch
Playback channels: Front Left
I have posted these reports before and gotten no responses.

Mark,
Thank-you for your help. I'll give it a try. Actually, I was trying to use
kCd (the CD player that comes with KDE 3.0) and get no sound.
