My kernel has ALSA 0.9.4. I have compiled the libs, utils and tools from cvs HEAD, today (alsa 0.9.4 code). I get only vaguely audible sound using aplay or a program sending output to the OSS emulation. Simple mixer control 'Master',0 Capabilities: pvolume pswitch Playback channels: Front Left
