I have been looking around, and have seen some examples for
nforce2-based motherboards, but I dont have one of those. What I
would like to do is output all my sound, no matter what it is, to
s/pdif. Can someone please provide an .asoundrc file that would do
this?

I have a Bluegears Mystique 7.1 DDL card which, as the name implies,
does dobly digital live. How do I enable that in linux? I know how to
do s/pdif passthrough, but I prefer the card to do the encoding. The
card is cmedia based:
