we're trying to get midi output via gameport working here, and the midi players (pmidi
for example) aren't finding any device. pmidi -l lists no device.
lsmod gives this:
snd-seq-midi3184 0 (unused)

we're trying to install alsa 0.9-12 here. All modules appear to load
correctly (lsmod looks the same as other maschines we've got here with working
sound), but aplay fails with
ALSA lib pcm.c:1693: (snd_pcm_open_noupdate)
Unknown PCM default.
audio open error: No such file or dir
