Hello. About a week ago I got a new PC in. I spent about 24 hours
installing Gentoo on it before I shut down my old PC and hooked the new
box up to the old one's peripheral hardware. At that point, I found
that sound didn't work.

Do you have any idea how to stop this repeating after disconnecting?

Has anyone been able to get CA0132 to actually function with ALSA? Any
word on when it will be supported in Linux? I have even tried the latest
RC of kernel 3.10 and there is still no support for getting any kind of
sound out of this card on Linux.

a year now without the ability to use it in Linux. It is at least
detected by ALSA and listed in alsamixer, there is simply just no sound

BTW.: At the moment I am using a pretty silly workaround. I have twinkle
using OSS instead of alsa with a special device /dev/dsp3 which is a simple
file symlink to either /dev/dsp0 or /dev/dsp1. Starting twinkle then
