would hear when you repeatedly unplug and plug in your speaker cables.
The card/driver works 100% stable with no pops in any other app

I'm an ALSA newb and have a question regarding ALSA and how it enables more
than one process to share a mixer.
F.E. Let us say KDE/artsd has opened an ALSA mixer. Is it possible for other
applications (F.E. aplay) to also open the same ALSA mixer and have ALSA
perform the mixing between
I'm trying to play sounds/midi from Java. This works find if I kill arts. If I
enable arts Java just hangs trying to open the audio device.
I did get this working once where java was playing MIDI and arts was running.
But, I did something and now this no longer works. Any suggestions would be
