I removed alsa from 2.6.4 kernel and now have latest cvs drivers, and alsamixer works.
i turned up all masters, however, front and rear speakers still do not work, but
headphones do.

btw, i am sure this has something to do with me not being able to control front
speakers through the mixer, since alsamixer, of course, will not work.

Ok, so alsamixer will not work with extigy unless you use cvs or alsa 1.0.4 drivers,
but they won't compile if you are using 2.6.4 kernel with alsa enabled.
is there a way to get around this? i'm getting really sick of not being able to use a
mixer correctly.

I have 2.6.4, and latest alsa, and extigy. I am currently using exaudio, but would
prefer to use alsa as I had in the past. What is the level of support provided extigy
w/2.6.4, and anyone have a howto on setting it up?(I only saw some stuff about it with
2.4.x)
