I am also having the same problem with my Via 8233 onboard audio chip. I am running the same version of ALSA, in addition, I am running RedHat Linux 7.2. Since both of us have it, it sounds like it isn't a board based problem. Also is it normal to not be able to play two sounds at one time? Jes

[Alsa-user] Only 1 source plays & pops at end of sound

Hi there, I am running RedHat Linux 7.2 kernel 2.4.9-13. I have installed the stable 0.5.12a version of ALSA. I have got it to work and I am able to play sound. The problem I am having is that I am only able to play one source of sound. I am unable to play an mp3 and then play some other sound fi
