Hi. I'm using alsa 1.0.28 (lib and utils). Everything works fine so far, i.e. stereo output through speakers and headphone as well as S/PDIF and all possible capturing. According to my mainboard manual, the codec supports 5.1 (analog) surround by using the rear "line out" jack (for rear surround)

ctory? You probably need to create the correct devices for the new ALSA included in the kernel sources. I also did an upgrade to kernel 2.6.4 and KDE 3.2.1 (on SuSE 9.0 though). Was quite some hassle and it only worked after I disabled the KDE sound daemon (artsd) and stopped all KDE mixer app
