Has anyone tried to use the coaxial S/PDIF in on the "Trust Sound Expert Optical"
sound card? (I am _not_ talking about the s/pdif CD connector). If so, was it
successfull or not?
The input does not seem to work for me, not even in loop back mode. The optical input

Hmm, I was trying to record a signal with a sampling frequency of 32000Hz, apparently
it works with 44100Hz:-) (I am sure I tried 44100Hz yesterday with no success,
strange..)
Any way, it works :-)

Hi,
I just bought a new sound card based on the CMI8738 chip. If I select the "IEC958
Loop" flag the S/PDIF input is routed to S/PDIF output as it is supposed to be. Also,
I am able to play mp3 files through S/PDIF out.
But: I am not able to record the S/PDIF input. Example:

I am considering bying a Trust Sound Expert Digital Sorround Card. I have two question
first, though:
a) If I connect two digital sources (one to each of the s/pdif inputs), will I then be
able to switch between them from software even if both carries a non-zero signal?
b) Can the card sy
