I installed Alsa 1.0.4 on my Gentoo system. Alsa 1.0.3 has been working well and worked last weekend. Tonight alsaplayer will not give any sound - it goes through the motions of playing. Aplay gives this error below. Why do I suddenly get this error and how can I fix it? Playing WAVE '/opt
