[Alsa-user] usb audiodevice and microphone output

Hi. do you know if usb audio supports microphone output. I've read a lot about that you kan go into alsamixer, and in playback tab unmute the microphone to hear it through the speakers. has any of you done that, and if so, how does it sound? better than in windows 7? /Kristoffer -- Kristoffer Gus

Hi, I'm using linux kernel 4.6 on a T460 thinkpad (Debian jessie+backports). Sound works fine with the internal speakers and the headphone port on the T460. However, the headphone port of my Ultra Dock docking station does not work, i.e., I don't hear anything. Playing around with mixer setting
