[Alsa-user] Sound cart partially detected?

Hi. I've got an old computer with an intel hda sound card. A few months ago, I lost the ability to play sound on it. Looking at the output of alsa-info.sh, it seems that the sound card is at least partially detected by the kernel and whatnot. But it is not available as a playback device. In

ah I think I get it now -- snd_seq_ev_set_queue_pos_tick is a macro which constructs a special event type, it's not a function on the queue. So I have to construct of these events then pass it to the timer at 0:0 ? $aconnect -i client 0: 'System' [type=kernel] 0 'Timer ' I'd still
