1) yes, the .wav is on a hard disk. Its coming from a different partition.

I am having trouble with my motu midi express XT. I can recieve midi,
however the ports do not match, that is, physical port 5 matches "MTP
remote 3", but I cannot play back anything.

To produce my problem, I am playing my WAV like this
aplay -D hw:1,0 /mnt/CD\ 001\ -\ Symphonies\ Nos.1\&3/01\ -\ Symphonie\
No1\ in\ C\ Op21\ -\ 1\ Adagio\ molto-allegro\ con\ brio\ \(Kurt\

And it plays.
