Okay, I tried everything you said. As a last resort, I plugged in an
external USB Microphone from the Nintendo Wii, which btw does not show
op in arecord -L, but doesn't matter anymore.
When plugging in the EXT microphone via USB, the internal microphone
just works. More testing will follow.

virtual multi channel device.
But no chance... several different Instructions found online, did't work :-(
