After upgrading my OS there is no CD control in alsamixer. I have an Intel HDA
onboard chip and Realtec ALC1200 codec.
It worked before because an older alsa version detected the codec incorrecly
as,
I think, ALC888. If I remember correctly, alsmixer started displaying the CD
slider af

Not much. Apparently, whatever the driver does to initialize the card
randomly runs into some limit o
