I have the UCA202, which works well here with openSUSE 11.4 x64. The UCA222 is
identical to the 202 apart from being colored red and having different

so should work fine.

I'm in trouble with the laptop I bought ~5 months ago. It's an Italian brand
(see [0]) which ships with a Realtek ALC888 sound card.
Since the beginning, sound never came out from the speakers, only from the

James, thank you for your advice, I feel considerably more enlightened. I
intend to go down to a local computer audio supplier (Millenium Music)
