snes9x-gtk - runs at about 15% speed and makes lots of clicking noises
sdlmame - works fine.
xmame - works fine
openmsx - works fine
mupen64plus - skips occasionally.

If this is for HTPC use, you may want to investigate the ion2 1080p performance
under linux. The general consensus is the driver from Nvidia isn't very good
under linux as opposed to windows. VLC is especially problematic since it
doesn't use any of the advanced features.
