I am not able to record the output of the soundcard. A `rec foo.flac'
only records the input of the internal microphone.
Alsamixer shows no control for capture, only:

Does it work to play music in Alsaplayer?
Have you tried to specify alsa as your audio output device using the
mplayer command line:
mplayer -ao alsa [rest of your mplayer options]

I just want to have this working!
