try adding alsa-info report to your requests, without information all
you have is guess's.
wget -O alsa-info.sh http://alsa-project.org/alsa-info.sh && bash
./alsa-info.sh
do that in a terminal as a user (not root) in /home/user

Ideapad my microphone input doesn't work anymore (neither internal nor
external). I found out that alsamixer lacks quite a lot of controls in
the newer kernel/module. Some of the controls now unavailable were
crucial
